A treat is in the air
A breeze befuddles the trees
and turns the day inside out -
Our brains feel confused,
so accustomed to the heat -
What is this air of delight?
Signify something, we pray,
something of a change -
The swift-seated season
transitions into a ripeness,
an openness like a bloom,
ready to receive.
Don't take a step back,
translate instead the newness
of the breeze we have met in acquaintance.
May the season and our expectations rise
and meet in the heavenly place
of mutual delight.
