When I step outside and see
the sun setting over the lake
I stop a moment and breath.
The colours blending in the sky
are an artist's delight
and the Creator's sketchbook.
A design, all His, that we
are blessed to see
in a troubled, broken world
This is a beauty, gifted to us
from the deep imaginings
of our Lord, with love.
Sometimes on a long or overwhelming day it just takes stepping outside or looking out to the natural beauty of God's creation. When I gaze at the wind blowing through trees or the sun's reflection off the lake I see inklings of God's imagination. It is like a little preview of what God has in store. That is what true beauty is.
